Haven Lodge

Haven Lodge is a four-bedroom property on a single level in rural Aberdeenshire, with everything accessible from the entrance without stairs. The open-plan living space flows across the ground floor, with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and all the usual appliances—opening onto a terrace through patio doors. The bedrooms comprise one king, two doubles, and a room with two singles. One double has an ensuite; there is a further bathroom with a bath and shower. A private hot tub fits four people. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; parking for two cars is on site. One well-behaved pet stays free.

The setting is countryside, yet Banchory is nearby for shops and riverside walks. Crathes and Drum castles lie within reach, as does Dunnottar Castle on the Stonehaven coast. The Cairngorms National Park is close enough for a day's hiking or wildlife watching. Knockburn Loch & Outdoor Activity Centre offers paddleboarding, swimming and cycling. Aberdeen, about an hour away, has museums, galleries and restaurants alongside its working harbour. The lodge works well for families, groups of friends, or anyone wanting space without the feel of being remote. It does not accommodate stag or hen parties. No smoking inside.
