Sheildaig Cottage Annexe
Aberdeenshire
Rural Aberdeenshire sits between inland hills and a dramatic coastline, with St Cyrus village and its nature reserve just over a mile away. Shieldaig Cottage Annexe is a completely self-contained two-bedroom property attached to the owner's house, set back from the road with views across open countryside. One dog is welcome to stay at no extra cost.
The ground floor holds a living and dining space with French doors onto a patio, a well-equipped kitchen with electric cooking, and a bedroom with kingsize bed alongside a shower room. Upstairs, a second kingsize bedroom and sitting room both face towards the sea and surrounding landscape. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen and wifi are included. There's private parking for two cars and a bike store on site. The enclosed garden has furniture and a barbecue (shared with the owner); two steps lead down to it.
St Cyrus village has a shop, post office, coffee shop and pub. The nature reserve draws walkers, birdwatchers and dog owners; coastal paths run along the cliffs. The wider area offers countryside to explore, with the Grassic Gibbon Centre nearby for literary history. Families with young children can request a travel cot and highchair on booking.
