Poachers Hut

Loved the Poacher’s Hut!! It is a stunning space, with so much available to you for the sole purpose of chilling out and relaxing. The hut itself is warm and cozy, and the hamper was a such a delight to snack on! We loved being able to hear the wildlife outside as we watched films when the sun went down. Speaking of sunsets, we were spoiled with incredible views of sun creating over the hills as well as delighting in the partridges running over the distance. Add watching the world go by next to the fire, hammock, or (our favourite) in the hot tub, and it was a truly perfect way to unwind! The wood fire pizza oven was such fun to use, and Lorna was great at instructing us over how to cook with the oven safely. In fact as far as hosts go, she is the best! From feeding giving us biscuits to feed the goats, to proving us with a fabulous pancake breakfast for us to feast on, Lorna was a lovely, friendly host. Can’t wait to visit the space again soon!

Our hosts, Lorna and Ray were extremely welcoming from minute we arrived. Poachers hut was just amazing, had everything we needed for our 2 day stay there. The attention to detail in the hut was incredible, so many nice touches. Nothing could disappoint, pizza oven and fire pit were great but hot tub certainly made the trip special, everything was spotless and so easy to use. Was nice to wake up to sound of wildlife and to have the goats waiting for their ginger snap treat each time you passed them. Such an idyllic place with lots of lovely walks, looking forward to going back in warmer weather and see some more of this lovely place.

We have been here now 4/5 times over the years . And honestly. It's the best wee Cosy retreat/ get away . It's 10/10 , well 12/10 to be honest. Lorna and big ray are amazing, so lovely. And it's personal touches that you just don't get anywhere else , that really sets it apart . Definitely our fav wee happy place to visit . And we can't wait to go back .

We stayed at The Poacher’s Hut in Scotland and it was absolutely amazing. The hut itself had everything you could possibly need for a perfect stay – so thoughtfully equipped and comfortable. It also boasted a lovely hot tub and a fire pit outside with views over the surrounding countryside, which made it extra special. Lorna and Ray, the owners, were the loveliest hosts and truly went above and beyond. When they found out I was a wildlife photographer, they even shared links to nearby places I might enjoy visiting, which was such a thoughtful touch. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The hut is set in a beautiful area and made the whole experience even more memorable. I’ll definitely be returning – highly recommended!
