What a gem of a place. If you love quirky this is definately thr place to stay Rooms are great, bed so comfy, this is not a premier inn or hotel room style, each room has its own character Lovely log fire in main section. Evelelyn and Peter the perfect hosts and always there if needed Jaqueline in the kitchen so friendly and lovely as well as great cook with her breakfasts, they are a must. Other breakfast snacks available too for your taste buds The Lodge is well laid out, cant wsit to return when wehave the opportunity Stayed 5 nights with our chihuahua from 27th December 2025 to 1st Jan 2026

A very unique place to stay alongside the A1. The traffic can be heard slightly but not overwhelming. This antiques centre and gift shop also doubles up as a b and b. The owners are most welcoming on check in which is between 4 and 6pm. There are separate rooms across the courtyard which are cozy with ensuite facilities and tea tray. I slept well but the walls are very thin between rooms and you can hear every word everyone is saying in the next room. A delicious breakfast is cooked fresh and the tables are large within the dining room. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner. All in all a good visit.
