Right in the centre of Alnwick, easily walkable to the castle, gardens and shops and with great (free) parking nearby. Staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly - between them and the gorgeous Olympic dining room we had breakfast and afternoon tea in, our stay was really elevated to something very special. Room was spacious and clean with a lovely view of the marketplace and bed was very comfy.

Excellent location and the staff wonderful. Our room so comfortable with 2 sitting chairs.The highlight was dinner in the dining room that once graced the First Class Lounge on RMS Olympic, sister ship to Taitanic. This bought and installed in White Swan Hotel, prior to being scrapped. Quality food both at dinner and breakfast. Easy walk to the beautiful Alnwick Castle. Highly recommend both hotel and castle.

Coach holiday with Cairngorm Travel. Hotel was extremely good. Staff, food and rooms were a lot better than some hotels we have stayed in. The staff go above and beyond to look after you. Choices of food at evening meal were mouth watering and our room (2) was lovely and quiet. Could be accessed via through hotel or through the pretty little garden, which we preferred! The dining room is breath taking - take time to look at it! Quite a lot of steps and stairs, so care and attention is needed, no lift available.

Our room was very nice, but it was very warm the week we spent there and the duvet was too heavy, so we slept on top of it! The hotel should consider summer weight duvets from April through to September. There was a great view of the castle from our bedroom window. The service was great and all the staff were very friendly. A shout out to George who was knowledgeable, entertaining and had a great repour with all the guests. Location good, it was our first visit to Alnwick and Northumberland and we enjoyed everyday we spent there.
