About Woodlands Camping
Tucked into quiet Hampshire woodland near Alresford, Woodlands Camping offers proper back-to-basics camping with a warm welcome for families and dogs alike. You'll pitch on non-electric grass in either the Meadow (nine pitches) or the Clearing (six pitches), and campfires are actively encouraged—perfect for those seeking a more traditional outdoor experience. Facilities cover the essentials: clean showers, toilets and drinking water, though there's no WiFi or chemical disposal on site.
The 4.8 Google rating reflects happy campers who praise the peaceful, natural setting and friendly hosts, though a few note that amenities are deliberately simple—this isn't glamping territory. If you want somewhere genuinely unplugged to explore Hampshire's countryside and historic market towns, it's an appealing choice.

What visitors say
Nice small off-grid site, with toilets and showers. You have choice of open fields or woodland camping. Firpits available. Some nice walks to near by pubs which serve good food. Local petrol station is 5min drive and stocks local meat etc.

Nestled in the woods behind an equestrian centre, lies the means to total relaxation. Back to nature, surrounded by young oak and birch, amongst others. We pitched a generous size with our own picnic tables for alfresco cooking and dining. Toilets more than adequate, clean and always well stocked. Lovely woodland walks straight from the tent. We stayed as we had before, to visit family but to return at the do of the day to such tranquility is truly soul cleansing. I already miss it but we will definitely return again one day. Thank you Jason, you have created a uniquely wild yet civilised blended experience in a corner of the woods on the edge of the south downs and, although it’s not for everyone, maybe it should be. Disconnect, re discover nature or even yourself

The only rooms are whatever tent you bring. Unless you book the glamping Bell tents. Little Wood is stunning, only one grumble the lights in the toilet are solar powered but it was so cloudy they didn't charge enough to use without a torch. Our host was lovely

This campsite is in great location, the toilet cabin was clean and the shower units may put some people off but they they worked well. I would definitely come back again.
