The Barn

A hamlet setting means quiet lanes and footpaths on the doorstep, making this an easy base for walkers and cyclists. The Georgian town of Alresford lies 6 miles away with independent shops, cafés and pubs, while a pub and restaurant are just 2 miles off. The New Forest, Stonehenge and Hampshire's coastal towns are all within reach for day trips.

The Barn is a detached conversion with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sleeping four. Downstairs holds a kitchen with an Aga, dishwasher and all the basics for cooking, plus a utility room. Upstairs is a living room and two bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link bed that can split into singles, the other a double. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Wooden beams and oak flooring run throughout. There's a private garden courtyard with seating, parking for two cars, and Wi-Fi to keep you connected if needed. Electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. One dog is welcome. No smoking inside.

Nearby attractions include Grange Park Opera, the Watercress railway and fishing on the Itchen Valley. A cot, travel cot and highchair are available if you're travelling with young children.
