Great location in Ambleside and right on the river. Set on three floors with a lovely enclosed garden for the dogs. Picnic bench is next to the river for drinks in the evening. There's a snooker table on the ground floor, living room and kitchen on the first floor and 3 bedrooms on the second. All rooms were done well with nice furniture. A short walk into Ambleside from here and great views of the river from the rooms. What's not to love? Loved it for our family get together for our anniversary and 5 adults and 2 dogs lived more than comfortably.

Fantastic views across the river, woods and fell. Shame about the main road at the rear that wasn't me ruined in the description. Cleaning seemed half hearted and we had to go round it again ourselves before we could settle in. A nice enough place and good access to facilities locally.

Such a wonderful place next to the River Rothay. Ideally placed for trips around Ambleside and surrounding areas. The team at Lakeside Retreats do an amazing job looking after our needs.
