What visitors say

Susan Ellison

Very interesting and informative. So many silks to see in all parts of the process. A young lady explained all about the thickness and gineness of silk cloth. We saw ladies learning with cotton threads on a small loom, the whater wheel and big weaving machines in operation. The mill race was beautifully clear with ducks and large trout. Totally fascinating and would certainly return if we lived closer.

I went there with my childhood friend. We arrived after 10.00 am and left after 5.00pm. we spent the whole time eating and drinking in the restaurant. The staff were great, very patient with us and we had a great time eating, drinking and chatting on the banks of the River Test.
