Glen Doll Cottage sits in one of Angus's deepest glens, surrounded by Forestry Commission woodland within the Cairngorms National Park. The setting is genuinely remote—a private driveway leads to the cottage beside the main lodge, with Munros and open hillside rising all around. Walking trails begin on the doorstep; Corrie Fee National Nature Reserve is accessible from the Glen Doll car park nearby. This is terrain for people who came to be outside.
The cottage holds two bedrooms (one double, one twin) and a bathroom upstairs, with the ground floor arranged around a living and dining room warmed by a woodburner, a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, hob, microwave, air fryer and slow cooker, and a separate toilet. Essentials like electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are covered, plus Wi-Fi and the initial fuel for the stove. There is private parking for two cars and a patio with garden furniture overlooking the trees. One dog is welcome.
The cottage sleeps four and suits families or couples seeking solitude in serious countryside. It sits on a working farm, so this is a genuine rural setting rather than a manicured retreat. Check-in is after 4pm, checkout before 10am.
