Dairy Cottage sits on the ground floor of a converted farm steading in the River Ruel valley, a few miles inland from Oban. You arrive into an open-plan living space that combines sitting area, dining and kitchen in one room, with a wood-burning stove for cooler evenings. There are two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—and a single bathroom with bath and shower. The kitchen has what you need to cook properly: electric cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.
The cottage sits within 150 acres of shared woodland and grounds, thick with wildlife and bird life. If you fish, the property includes free trout and salmon fishing on the River Ruel between May and September; there's a fishing hut that doubles as a picnic spot. A patio and verandah face onto the courtyard, with garden furniture and a barbecue. The village of Tighnabruaich, with beaches, restaurants and a golf course, is under 10 miles away. A pub serving food at Colintraive is similarly close. The nearest shop is 13 miles, though there's a summer shop with limited hours adjacent to the farm. One pet is welcome. The grounds contain an unfenced burn and waterfall, and there are natural water drops in places, so families with very young children should be aware of this.

Excellent holiday cottage. In a brilliant location. Tastefully decorated & furnished. Very homely, especially with the log burner lit in the lounge.

Amazing cottage . Spacious and very comfortable. View is amazing over the loch and mountains . Quite rural even though not far off the main road . The caretaker , Martin, is very helpful and friendly . Would defantly return .
