Home Farm - Marjorie’s Cottage
Argyll and Bute
Photo: Google Maps
Marjorie's Cottage comes with everything needed for a self-catering break: electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all covered, wi-fi keeps you connected, and the kitchen has a full-sized cooker, dishwasher and American fridge. The single bedroom contains a zip-and-link bed (request singles if preferred), and an ensuite shower is attached. The open-plan living space includes a dining area and lounge with Freeview TV and DVD player. All of this sits on the ground floor in a courtyard setting within a 150-acre estate of woodland near Argyll and Bute.
The grounds offer genuine seclusion—mature trees, wildlife, and space to breathe. A burn and waterfall run through the property, though neither is fenced. Between May and September, guests have free access to trout and salmon fly fishing on the river, with a fishing hut that doubles as a picnic shelter. There is parking for one car and a bike store. The coast is five miles away; shops and restaurants lie further afield (13 miles to the nearest shop, 7 miles to a pub). A summer shop with limited hours operates adjacent to the farm. No smoking indoors.
