On the Kintyre Peninsula, where moorland slopes toward the water and the Paps of Jura rise across the sound, Dunultach Cottage commands views over the loch from its private, enclosed garden. The cottage sits on ground level throughout—a single-storey layout that works well for families or anyone who prefers to avoid stairs. Two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with twin singles) and a bathroom with both bath and shower serve four guests. One well-behaved dog stays free.
The main space combines living and kitchen in a practical open plan. There is a wood burner for atmosphere on cooler evenings (initial fuel supplied), a television and DVD player, and a kitchen fitted with the usual appliances—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer among them. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The garden has a sitting area with furniture and a shed for storing outdoor kit or bicycles; parking for two cars is available. Note that a stream runs through the garden, about twenty yards from the house.
Tarbert, the main settlement on the peninsula, is within easy reach and offers shops, pubs and restaurants. The Kintyre Way connects a series of walking routes across the landscape. Skipness castle and Machrihanish's championship golf course are both accessible, as are ferry terminals to Islay, Gigha, Jura and Arran. Red squirrels, deer and golden eagles inhabit the surrounding moorland and coast.
