About Tarbert Holiday Park

Tarbert Holiday Park makes a thoroughly practical base for exploring Argyll, with a choice of hardstanding pitches complete with electric, water and grey waste points, plus a clutch of dog-friendly camping pods and two executive ensuite pods fitted with hot tubs. The shower blocks are kept spotlessly clean and warm, while a communal kitchen and on-site café – serving genuinely good food and drinks – add genuine convenience. Staff are welcoming, the atmosphere stays pleasantly quiet after dark, and dogs are welcome throughout.

It's open year-round and sits just outside Tarbert itself, so you're well placed for touring Loch Fyne, the Kintyre peninsula and the ferry routes to the islands. A solid, unfussy option that gets the basics right and then some.

Having experienced quite a few motorhome stops in Scotland, this is one of the best. Super pitches and a choice of three levels all with lovely clean and modern facilities nearby. A great welcome too. Really super place that is well cared for. My only grumble is the locks on the loo doors as I thought I was locked in every time I went! I could see them causing issues for kids (or was it just me?…)

Perfect place to sleep the night before an early ferry back to Islay. Nice, warm pod - the toilet is a two minute walk away which I did know prior to booking, so that was no problem at all. Tea and coffee available in pod which was a nice touch. Comfortable bed.

Great campsite experience. We only stayed for one night before getting the ferry but we would definitely come back. We stayed on a fully serviced hard standing pitch with a good view. The toilet /shower block was clean and warm. After going for a gorgeous woodland walk we went in the cafe in the evening and had a beer and home made brownies. Very comfortable and friendly, great service.

If you're looking for a tent space while on bicycle tour or backpacking don't bother coming here. They don't do tents despite the reviews. I was turned down in the pouring rain only in need for a piece of grass. Their kitchen and showers are only meant for people coming with a glamorous caravan. I mean what harm does a small tent do, missed out on payment and a good review.
