Lochindaal

Lochindaal suits families and groups wanting room to spread out without feeling cramped. Eight guests sleep across four bedrooms—a ground-floor kingsize with ensuite, a ground-floor twin, and two more doubles upstairs (one with a TV). Two bathrooms and a separate toilet mean queuing for the shower is not an issue. The ground floor is level access through wide doors, with the master bedroom and one twin accessible without stairs; a travel cot, stairgate and highchair are provided for younger children.

The layout keeps everyone happy: a generous living room with garden doors opens through double doors into the dining kitchen, which has a full oven, hob, dishwasher and all basics for self-catering. The utility room holds a fridge-freezer and washer-dryer. Bedrooms are spacious with built-in wardrobes. Outside, a rear patio garden has furniture and a barbecue, with front gardens and parking for two cars on site. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.

Whitehouse is a quiet village location five miles from Tarbert, a working fishing village with restaurants, shops and a harbour. The Kintyre peninsula offers coastal walks and is worth exploring as a base for a week. Smoking is not permitted.
