From the town centre location, Oban's harbour lies within walking distance, where ferries depart daily to the islands and boat trips regularly venture out to spot porpoises, dolphins, whales and basking sharks. Walking, mountain biking, kayaking and skiing are all accessible from here. Oban itself has castles, gardens and historic sites, plus a cinema and leisure centre. A shop sits 100 yards away, and pubs and restaurants begin at 200 yards. The property does not permit smoking. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed.

We were walking back to Oban with Kerrera on our left on a cloudy afternoon when a ray of sun popped through a break in the clouds. For literally two minutes the sun broke through and cast its light on this mound on the Isle of Kerrera making quite a spectacular sight.
