While the hotel and rooms are dated, it has a certain charm. The room was spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The bed had pristine white bedding and was very comfortable. Check in is very easy with keys in named envelopes on the reception table. To check out, you just leave the key in dish provided, on same table. Very handy and close to all amenities. We only had an overnight stay before our ferry but it was perfect for what we needed and wouldnt hesitate to stay again or recommend it

Rather short on space for clothes and bathroom had nowhere to keep washbasin etc. However, hotel was fine for our 4 day stay. Rooms were clean and presentable. Comfortable beds, TV, tea and coffee facilities. Location was barely 2 minutes walk to the centre and 5 minuteswalk from the train station an ferry terminal. . Recommended.

Ask for #8- great view of the harbor/ ferries! My family arrived much later than planned- check in was easy, which was perfect because we were exhausted. Sheina (not sure I spelled that correctly) was lovely. We had horrible luck with our rental car and she helped us sort out a plan, then helped us find food that was open late. We regret not staying in Oban longer and look forward to returning. The room was simple and clean. Perfect for our short stay.

Pretty sad experience overall. No mention upon booking that the restaurant/bar was closed during our stay. I probably would not have spent much time there because this place is so depressing, but transparency goes a long way in hospitality. Not disclosing that information is unacceptable. Adding to that - says free parking which is not true. You have to pay in the lot across the street. It was a one night stay and we opted for a budget friendly hotel but this place is a dump. Sticky and uneven floors, bathroom mirror light didn't work. Only saving grace was the location, but I would never stay here again.
