Tarbert sits at the gateway to Kintyre, where ferries depart for Islay and other islands, and the Argyll coastline offers walking routes, sea kayaking, and small harbours to explore. Kennacraig Lodge is a three-bedroom house designed for groups of up to eight, with enough space and comfort to make it a proper base rather than just somewhere to sleep between activities.
The ground floor has a living room with a 55-inch television, an open-plan kitchen with a full range of appliances including dishwasher and tumble dryer, and a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. Upstairs are two further bedrooms (both kingsize), a second bathroom, and a separate living area with French doors onto a covered balcony. A pull-out single bed in one of the upper bedrooms can accommodate children. Outside, there is a private hot tub, an enclosed garden with a firepit and seating, parking for four cars, and wi-fi throughout. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included. The property is non-smoking.
The house works well for groups of friends or extended families who want to stay together but have room to spread out, or for anyone wanting to base themselves near Tarbert's ferry terminal without the constraints of a hotel.

Really nice place to stay, convenient for all the local ferry terminals (to Arran, Gigha or Islay) and just off the main road so good access to the local towns of Tarbert and even Campbeltown. Very well appointed, with particularly good kitchen facilities and very comfortable and warm.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kennacraig Lodge nestled on the north end of the Kintyre peninsula in West Coast Scotland. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning natural beauty that surrounded us. Our stay at Kennacraig Lodge was a relaxing escape—a chance to unwind, explore, and create memories. We highly recommend this tranquil retreat for families and friends seeking a slice of Scottish paradise.

Beautiful house with beautiful surroundings. 5 min drive to Tarbert and 30 minute drive to Campbeltown. The surrounding area is tranquil and peaceful with beautiful views over the water. House is modern and vibrant with spacious dining and kitchen areas. There’s a sitting room to get away whilst the kids play pool!! Loved the time we spent as a family there and would definitely hurry back. 4 adults and 4 kids slept comfortably on our stay as the rooms are big and spacious.
