Oban's restaurants, distilleries and harbour lie just two miles away by car, making Maggie's Cabin a base for exploring Scotland's seafood heartland without staying in town. The cabin itself occupies its own enclosed garden in the hills, with south-facing decking that catches the sun from dawn through dusk. Glen Lonan fills the view across the valley.
The single bedroom holds a double bed; a sofa bed in the open-plan living area makes four guests possible. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob for proper cooking. You get bed linen, towels, wi-fi, and electricity included. Underfloor heating runs throughout. The main draw is the decked area—furnished and fitted with a barbecue, it's the obvious place to spend time in dry weather, enclosed by the cabin's veranda to shelter from wind.
The welcome pack includes local chocolates, Prosecco, fresh eggs and morning rolls, plus Highland Soap Company toiletries. Parking for two cars sits on site. No smoking inside. The cabin suits couples or small groups who want rural peace with easy access to Oban's attractions, or walkers wanting a comfortable base for exploring Argyll.

Lovely, quiet location. Comfortable cabin. Less than 10 minutes from Oban centre. Just over an hour's drive to Ben Nevis and Glencoe. Would love to stay again.

A very cute little Pod all decked out with all the amenities we needed. Stunning views over to Ben Cruachan. The plot has Shetland ponies close by. What more can you want waking up to a view like this. Would highly recommend Maggies Cabbin.

WOW! This place is incredible. The cabin was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed and more! The attention to detail and little extras, really made us feel special. Stunning scenery to add to the experience. My kids and I loved it! Thank you, we will be back!

Myself and my boyfriend had a very relaxing stay at Maggie’s Cabin over the weekend, with excellent hosts Robert & Marion who cater to all your needs. The cabin was spotless when we arrived, location is beautiful and so peaceful as we are used to living in the city of Glasgow. You are also only a 10 minute drive from the town centre if you fancy going out for a meal/drinks. We recommend Maggie’s Cabin to anyone looking for a chilled escape and would visit again! 🥰
