The Penthouse

The Penthouse comes ready for a group of six to move straight in. Three bedrooms—one with an ensuite—and two bathrooms mean nobody's queuing in the morning. The kitchen has everything for proper cooking: electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer all there. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are covered. The living and dining room opens to a balcony overlooking the Holy Loch and Firth of Clyde, with a south-facing garden that catches sun most of the day.

This penthouse sits within Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, at the water's edge in Argyll and Bute. The landscape here is dramatic—deep glens and narrow sea lochs hold red deer, roe deer, buzzards and golden eagles. Dunoon town centre is close by for shops, pubs and restaurants. From here you can take steamer cruises, walk woodland gardens at Benmore Botanic, or get on the water: sailing, sea fishing and windsurfing all happen locally. Standing stones, burial cairns and rock carvings dot the peninsula. There is private parking for two cars and a bike store. No smoking throughout. Arrival is after 15:00, departure before 10:00.
