About The Bird in Hand
A traditional Norfolk pub building forms the heart of The Bird in Hand, set on Church Road in the village of Ashwellthorpe. The look and feel is classic countryside inn, with a bar and restaurant at its centre and the kind of relaxed, unfussy character that suits a stopover or a longer stay in this part of the county.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks provided, and family rooms available for those travelling with children. Breakfast is served each morning, and kids' meals are on offer in the restaurant alongside the main menu. Free WiFi runs throughout, reception operates around the clock, and there's a garden to sit out in when the weather allows. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward.
Beyond the pub itself, guests are within reach of a golf course, plus further pubs, bars and restaurants nearby, along with local entertainment options. Norwich and the Norfolk Broads are both an easy distance away, making The Bird in Hand a workable base for exploring the wider county from a quiet village setting.
