Ayr Craigie Gardens Club Campsite occupies a slice of the former Craigie Estate on the edge of town, where roughly ninety hardstanding pitches sit among mature parkland close to the River Ayr. Run by the Caravan and Motorhome Club, it's strictly for caravans and motorhomes—tents aren't permitted—but the trade-off is a genuinely central base without the noise of staying right in the middle of Ayr. All pitches come with electric hook-up, and facilities include showers, a motorhome service point, a small play area and a dog walk.
The location is the real draw: you can walk into town for the beach, harbour and railway station without moving the outfit, and the River Ayr Way starts nearby for longer riverside rambles. Some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but for anyone wanting easy access to Ayrshire's coast and towns without driving everywhere, this leafy pitch between park and pavement does the job neatly.

Lovely quiet and tidy site within relatively easy walking distance of the town centre, beach and other local attractions. A special mention for the new shower block. Its just lovely and the showers are absolutely AMAZING! Plenty of hot water and the cubicles are really spacious with plenty of hanging spaces for clothes and toiletries. The only downside was that the internet connection was a little intermittent but hey, you can always read a book, go for a walk, talk to other people, take a nap ... 😉

We called in here for lunch. Its was raining and we were wet and cold. There was a warm welcome here, a good choice of drinks at reasonable prices and delicious food. Dog friendly too, thanks

Ben they're a few times now. Great site which is VERY well tended and has easy access to local amenities either on foot or driving. Staff very friendly and helpful. Already booked for August

Nice club campsite, quiet, well maintained, clean and tidy. Large hard standings well spaced and level. Does get full at busy periods. Short walk to town ctr. Easily come again.
