Absolutely love coming here, there's lots of areas to walk and explore, usually come down with the dog and my partner and have even came down a few times with a fish and chips and watched the sunset which is just stunning with the castle as a backdrop. Lots of benches and picnic areas and even designated BBQ areas. Such a clean place to visit and there's a small park for those with kids too. Toilet facilities also here which makes it ideal if your there for the day. Can't recommend visiting here enough. The drive is also very scenic.

Dunure Castle is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The views of the coastline and the sea are stunning, and the castle ruins have so much history and character. It’s a perfect spot for photography, relaxing walks, and enjoying nature. The atmosphere around the castle is calm and scenic, especially during sunset. Even though it’s a ruin, you can still feel the history and charm of the place. There’s also a lovely little harbour nearby which makes the whole experience even better. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Ayrshire or exploring Scotland’s coastal gems. Highly recommended!

Absolutely incredible place right by lots of private coves and beach. It felt like being abroad it was beautiful sights and you were able to climb around the castle and see the ruins. We swam in the water and it was cold but incredible. Parking was £3.50 for a car for the whole day which was reasonable.
