Lochinver Guest House occupies a Victorian townhouse on Park Circus, one of Ayr's quieter residential streets, around five minutes' walk from the town centre and six from the seafront. Its seven bedrooms, each named after a Scottish clan with Ayrshire associations, combine period features with en-suite or private bathroom facilities.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and the guest house also offers a daily afternoon tea in its drawing room, a touch more usually found in larger hotels. The property does not accept pets and welcomes children aged 12 and over.
Its central but peaceful location suits visitors who want walking access to both the town and the beach without staying directly on the seafront, along with easy onward travel to Culzean Castle and the Ayrshire coast.

The location is beautiful and quiet in a lovely residential neighborhood. The hosts are kind and offered insight and advice on the area, including things to do and see and places to dine. Rooms were tastefully decorated and adequately spacious. Bedding, linens, and bath towels were all of good quality and were refreshed daily. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and offered a wide variety options. We will definitely boo in again when we come through Ayr next time.

Beautiful guest house, the hosts were amazing and very accommodating! The breakfast was delicious and the location was very ideal. We were able to walk most places which just made us appreciate Ayr even more. We will happily stay here again, well worth every penny!

Lovely stay. Ideal location in a beautiful side street lined with cherry trees just a few minutes walk from the town centre and beach. We booked direct and got the best rate. Lots of thought has gone into this place and the care they take. I booked it with a colleague on business and we both felt we’d made a great choice. Sinclair was welcoming and nothing too much trouble, lots of tips on where to eat and what to do, The room was spotless with everything you need… a real cafetière! Plus lovely cookies! Breakfast was a joy.. lots of healthy options and a made to order cooked option. It just felt like you had everything you would want plus more, all served with the warmth and friendliness of a guest house… highly recommended. Will be back!

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Lochinver Guest House last weekend. Beautiful settings, so clean and little extras including fresh cookies, fresh milk and a choice of waters in the room made it a very comfortable stay. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Very good choice at breakfast and very tasty. Would definitely recommend. Cherry blossom was in full bloom. What a beautiful street! Thank you!
