This museum is a fantastic experience and incredibly affordable! Admission is about £25 (roughly $31 USD), which actually acts as a yearly ticket. If you travel to London more than once a year—even coming from the US—it's a brilliant perk because you can return without having to pay again. The facility itself is exceptionally clean, with everything in perfect order and very easy to follow. The exhibits are logically laid out across three stories. You start back in the 1800s with the early carriage systems, then move into the era of locomotives and trams. Down on the bottom floor, you'll find a great collection of buses alongside some other vintage trams. While it’s not a massive museum, it is packed with highly informative panels. One of the best parts is the immersion: you can actually walk through some of the vintage trolleys to see exactly what they looked like back in the day, or peek through the windows of others. There are also a few interactive exhibits that are great for children. Overall, it was a perfectly organized, clean, and highly informative experience. Definitely worth the stop!

Immersive museum covering the history of transportation within London from the 19th century to today. The museum is pretty interactive which makes it great for children. I also appreciate how open the museum is which allowed it to be feel not too crowded even on a busy summer day. Tickets are a bit steep at 27 pounds per person but the ticket is good for a year and children are free. There’s a nice area to park your children’s buggy/stroller as well as a cloakroom for your baggage. There’s also a cafe area for sitting while the children play which featured coffee and some light food. Did not try it so cannot comment on the quality. There were also different stands at the museum with volunteers showing different era specific devices (e.g. ticket collector device) which my daughter loved. Overall this is a pretty nice museum and great for families. Just felt the price was a touch high.

Lovely few hours out, very child friendly. There is a cafe, small play area and lots of little bits to keep them entertained. There is a free cloakroom service for bags, coats etc. We loved this and used it, wish more places offered this as it did save carrying rucksacks and coats around with us. You can go on some of the transport vehicles etc. There is an activity that you can do ( its like a train driver game ) it takes 7 minutes so if its busy you will be waiting a while, we didn't do this but as there was about 15 people in front of us. There is a stamp trail you can do to help keep track of where to go next. The cafe looked nice and it was all very well maintained. Toilets were great , clean and well stocked. There is a gift shop but if your like me and have kids and hate gift shops then if you ask the staff by the desks on the way out they will let you out the doors before the shop 😅 Great place, not too expensive and a nice few hours out.

Recently purchased an annual pass for the London Transport Museum & I wasn't disappointed! There's so much nostalgia in the museum, it really was like stepping back in time. Seeing all the vintage buses & posters was a highlight of the visit. A very moving & memorable celebration of the Legacies exhibition that depicted the contribution of Caribbean staff, from the Windrush generation, and the significant impact they had. Really worth seeing, highly recommend👌🏾
