About The Strand Palace
The Strand is one of London's great thoroughfares, and The Strand Palace occupies a substantial spot right on it, putting guests within easy reach of Charing Cross and the buzz of the surrounding streets. With 785 rooms, this is a hotel built for scale, offering a 24 hour reception, a lift to every floor, and the kind of consistency that comes from a large, well-run operation.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and are kept clean and comfortable, though some are on the smaller side, so it suits guests who plan to spend their days out exploring rather than lounging in a suite. A restaurant and bar on site cover breakfast and evening meals, with breakfast in particular a strong point, and there's a gym for those keen to keep up a routine while away. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful, adding a personal touch to what is otherwise a big operation.
Beyond the doors, the area has no shortage of pubs, restaurants and entertainment, and Chessington World of Adventures is within reach for a day trip. For value in a genuinely central London location, The Strand Palace delivers reliably on the essentials.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is perfect — right in the centre, close to everything you could need. The place was absolutely spotless, and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early, which was a huge bonus! The staff are amazing — so friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I had a single room, which was small but perfectly suited to my needs — comfortable, cozy, and well-equipped. A special shout-out to the door staff, who were always smiling and couldn’t have been more helpful. Their warmth and positive energy really made a difference. I’ll definitely stay here again — highly recommend! 🏨✨

Great doorman and guest service desk man. Awesome location. Cool historic hotel. We got an Superior King with a city view (which was just a view of the street). We had problems with the front desk staff. Our room was not ready, they did not come get us from the lobby when it was ready and then proceeded to start the check-in process over from the beginning. We reported a problem with our coffee maker which was never handled. The restaurant was expensive and not worth the money. The Gin Palace drinks were great, but at $21 a drink they should be. Overall very nice hotel but could use some tweaks for the rate one pays.

Our first night ever in London and we were fortunate enough to book a superior room at the Strand Palace. Our room has a king sized (American king) bed, a lovely bathroom, and a view to Strand on the fourth floor. We love it. Did hear some traffic noise in the morning, but overall slept wonderfully well due to the very comfortable mattress and covers. AC works perfectly too. Service has been exceptional. I wish I remembered everyone’s name that has helped us from the gentleman doorman with the top hat to every waiter, receptionist, concierge, etc. Especially want to note Kira, who waited on us at Haskell’s where we had the most delicious supper our first evening! She was great! Thank you, Strand Palace, for making our first experience in London a memorable one!
