My friend Wind and I stayed for 2 nights in July 2026 and had a wonderful time. Louise and Martyn are fabulous hosts, and their property is top-notch. We stayed in the Balmoral suite on the first floor and were treated to homemade shortbread and lemon drizzle cake upon arrival. In the bathroom, they provide high-quality soaps, shampoo, and conditioner from a local maker, as well as plush towels and bathrobes. Do you need tea or water? All in your room. An iron and ironing board? Check. Cotton pads and Q-tips? Done. Binoculars? They've got you! Before going to bed, we filled out our hot breakfast forms, and upon arrival in the breakfast room the next morning, we were greeted with several breakfast cakes, fresh berries, blueberry muffins, cereal, juice, and yogurt. Louise is an amazing cook, and she prepared my Scottish breakfast to perfection. Martyn urged us to fill up our take-away boxes so that we could have a snack later (twist my arm!). Later that week, when Wind and I encountered a store-bought muffin or pastry, we'd look at each other and say, "Louise would never." I told Louise she needs to go on Bake Off. They are the most generous hosts, and they set the bar quite high in the realm of BnBs. I give them 100 stars out of 10. And don't forget to give baby Monty (dog) a hug for me.

This was the cherry on top of our Scotland vacation. Everything was spacious and spotless, quiet, the bed warm and cozy, lots of nice touches to the room and bathroom. We even had a pair of binoculars in the room. The breakfast was amazing, with delicious cakes and perfectly poached eggs, and little take out boxes to get some cake for later. I know at this level they are deemed somewhat of a pest, but we were absolutely enchanted by all the rabbits running around. There were pheasants, swallows, wagtails as well. We liked watching all of them from our own little patio so much that we forgone going on longer hikes that we had planned in the region and just relaxed. It was a pleasure meeting Martyn, Louise and Monty. They are wonderful hosts.
