About Cairngorm Lodges
Wildlife outside and luxury inside – that's the tempting mix on offer at Cairngorm Lodges, a smart rural glamping site on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. This secluded spot 10 minutes from Aboyne is a place to really immerse yourself in gorgeous Aberdeenshire countryside: the eco lodges are tucked away among the woods, each in its own patch for peace and privacy. Built to have minimal impact on the landscape, they feature top-notch insulation, low-energy lighting and eco-friendly products, while tree-planting projects and bird-feeding protect local wildlife – keep your eyes peeled for red squirrels.
Inside, there's a plentiful supply of that promised luxury: smart bathrooms, fully-fitted kitchens, Freeview TVs, comfy sofas and beds made up with high-quality organic linen, plus extras like books, hairdryers and summer barbecues. Woodland walks start from the site, while fishing, cycling routes, skiing, horse riding and golf are all nearby – along with several castles and whisky distilleries if you need a rest from all the activity.

What visitors say
Wonderful cannot fault it. Excellent communication, beds and pillows are by far the comfiest we have all had, including memory form mattress in the double room. Kids also slept great. Fire had a never ending abundance of kindling/logs which normally most places charge for, shower was lovely, living areas and kitchen, especially the oven, were all brilliant. Also the noise from outside was non existent. The location…wow. How do we start…it’s like a dream that you always wish you had. The forest and sky were beautiful. We saw a shooting star and had a lovely pic Nic bench to sit at with our morning coffee. We will definitely be back and really urge anyone to go. The drive was breathtaking and makes you proud to be Scottish. Thanks Kathleen.

Even though these lodges are located in the middle of a beautiful wood it makes them all the more amazing, lots of wildlife, birds, squirrels, deer etc. And with a loch near by and plenty of places to walk and explore and then to come back to a nice log fire and the sound of tawny owls to round off the day. Would fully recommend them to anyone who love Scotland, wildlife and adventure, and the surrounding area is just a good with plenty of nature reserves and a supermarket only 15 minutes away.
