Southbank Centre Food Market

We love this place—small, compact, but so many choices for reasonably ie. London serves authentic food. Not many seating areas, but that has never disappointed us as we sit on big concrete blocks under the trees or on stairs. Not sure about the toilet situation, but Waterloo station, BFI, and Southbank centres are within a short reach.

Southbank Centre Food Market is one of those places where London just feels alive. Right by the river, the whole market is packed with street food stalls serving everything from loaded burgers and bao buns to fresh crepes and proper comfort food. The smell alone will pull you in before you even know what you want. It’s casual, buzzing, and perfect for grabbing something quick while people-watching along the Thames. 🌮🔥 The best part is the vibe. You’ve got street performers nearby, the London Eye down the river, and locals mixed with travelers all just chilling with good food in hand. It’s less chaotic than Borough Market but still full of flavour and energy. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you go for “just a snack” and somehow end up doing a full food tour. 😅🍔

A fantastic spot with a great variety of food from all over the world. This time we went for Korean, and it was absolutely delicious! The fully loaded kimchi rice with chicken, beef, and salad was bursting with flavour and cooked perfectly. It’s one of those places where you can always find something new to try. There’s also a handy seating area at the back, which makes it easy to sit down and enjoy your meal. Highly recommended, we’ll definitely be back for more!

Loved the food market - if I lived locally Id definitely be trying them all one day at a time! We went for the Naan wrap stand and had tge chicken - it was stunning! Definitely recommend. Lots of vegan, vegetarian and GF options there too
