About Park Plaza County Hall
The South Bank has become one of London's busiest stretches for sightseeing, with the river, Westminster and a run of major attractions all within easy reach, and Park Plaza County Hall sits among them on Addington Street. With 399 rooms spread across 14 floors, many looking out over the city, it's built for visitors who want to be near everything without straying far from a comfortable base.
Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and family options for those travelling with children, and breakfast is served buffet-style with a broad enough spread to suit most tastes. The hotel also runs a restaurant, bar and snack bar, along with an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa for downtime between excursions. Business travellers are catered for too, with meeting rooms and concierge support, while room service, laundry and valet parking cover the practical side of a stay. It's worth noting that upkeep in some rooms has been inconsistent, so it's fair to expect the odd rough edge despite the overall comfort on offer.
Beyond the doors, the area is well placed for entertainment, pubs and restaurants, and the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster are all within walking distance. Pets are welcome, and chargeable on-site parking is available for those arriving by car.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location was excellent — very close to Waterloo Station, with easy access to buses and the tube, which made getting around London very convenient. The service was outstanding throughout our stay. We experienced a small issue with our original room, but the staff handled it professionally and kindly upgraded us to a beautiful new room, which we really appreciated. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bed and pillows were especially cozy, and we slept extremely well. The view from the room was also fantastic and made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a very pleasant experience with excellent hospitality, comfort, and location. We would happily stay here again.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location. Staff throughout the hotel seemed friendly and helpful. As mentioned check in isnt till 3 but if you know this in advance they are happy for you to leave bags and explore. The room had everything I needed, view of the sister building the old annex and towards the bridge. Room was clean and tidy with complimentary water which is a nice touch. Nice hotel if you are in the city

⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5) Our stay at Park Plaza County Hall London was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had, especially while travelling with three young children (4 years, 3 years and an 18-month-old). We took two rooms, one, Studio and one superior If you are travelling with infants or young kids, I would strongly recommend considering other hotels. The biggest issue wasn’t one isolated incident—it was the repeated lack of coordination, ownership and family-friendly hospitality throughout our stay. Some of the major issues we experienced: • We were assured our room would be ready early, but after arriving around noon with three exhausted children, we didn’t receive our room until approximately 4 PM. • Communication between Reception, Concierge and other teams was extremely poor. We repeatedly had to follow up ourselves because requests were either forgotten or not communicated internally. • Basic room requests were promised but never delivered. • The room itself had maintenance issues, including broken buttons/switches. • Accessibility and convenience for families with strollers and luggage were not well managed. • We requested luggage storage for two days while travelling to Edinburgh before returning to the same hotel. Rather than trying to help or suggest alternatives, the request was simply refused. • Surprisingly, even a simple request such as milk through room service for young children was not available, which is difficult to understand for a hotel of this category. To be fair, most of the staff we interacted with were polite and courteous. However, politeness alone cannot compensate for poor service delivery, lack of coordination and an absence of proactive guest care. For a hotel that markets itself as family-friendly and is located in such a prime area, we expected a much higher standard of hospitality. The location is excellent, but unfortunately the service fell far below expectations. We hope management takes these issues seriously and improves the experience for families travelling with young children.

Here's a polished version of your Google review: The hotel has a great location, and the rooms are comfortable. If your kids love trains like mine do, the train view is a big bonus! There are a few areas that really need improvement. The elevators can be extremely slow, and during busy hours you may end up waiting a very long time. Housekeeping also has unusual cleaning hours. If you're traveling with kids, I'd recommend asking them to clean your room earlier, as they may not start cleaning until as late as 5:00 PM. One thing I really didn't understand was the bathtub design—there's no handheld shower hose. It makes rinsing young kids much more difficult than it should be. Overall, despite these issues, we had a good stay thanks to the excellent location and decent rooms.
