About Premier Inn London County Hall
Belvedere Road runs along the South Bank of the Thames, and it's here, among the riverside walkways and cultural venues, that Premier Inn London County Hall makes its home. The setting is hard to beat for anyone wanting to explore London on foot, with the water, the bridges and the city's skyline all within easy reach.
The hotel itself spans five floors and 318 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available to order. Accessible rooms are available, and there's a lift serving all floors along with 24-hour reception. Rooms are generally spacious, though some have been reported as needing better upkeep, so it's worth bearing in mind alongside the otherwise comfortable stay. A restaurant on site serves breakfast, with the buffet a particular strength, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.
Outside the hotel, the South Bank offers plenty to fill a day and evening, with pubs, bars and restaurants close by, along with entertainment venues nearby. Parking is available at the nearby Waterloo Car park on York Road, chargeable, for those arriving by car. It's a straightforward, well-placed base for taking in central London.
What guests say
This could easily have been a four- or even five-star stay—if the breakfast had been better and the surroundings had allowed us to sleep. The staff serving breakfast were outstandingly friendly, attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself did not match their level of service. I have stayed at other Premier Inn hotels with a noticeably better choice and higher-quality food, although, admittedly, I have not experienced that at a Premier Inn in the UK so far. The room also became uncomfortably warm. Be prepared to keep the windows closed while the weak air conditioning desperately recirculates the warm room air, without ever coming remotely close to the minimum temperature shown on the control panel. From around 9:30 p.m. and throughout the night, a group of people with apparently little concern for anyone except themselves used the street directly beside the hotel as their personal gathering place—and occasionally as a short racetrack. Good earplugs are therefore less of a travel accessory and more of a necessity. Curiously, this disturbance does not seem to concern anyone at the hotel or in the neighbourhood. If noise does not bother you either, feel free to mentally add at least two stars to my rating.

We stayed here for the weekend to see Harry Styles on Night 12 of his Wembley Stadium residency, and it was absolutely perfect! The hotel is in a beautiful area with a lovely food market just up the road, offering stunning walks and views right on the doorstep. Travelling to and from Wembley was smooth and easy. Our room was lovely and clean, and the air conditioning was a total lifesaver in the 35°C heat. What made our trip truly special was the staff. When they noticed my Sunflower hidden disabilities badge and Access Card while I was feeling overwhelmed, they kindly offered us a free late checkout. I'm so grateful for their understanding and kindness—thank you for a fantastic weekend!

Had a brilliant stay here. Staff helpful and friendly, location is wonderful and the room was very clean and spacious with a comfy bed and extra soft pillows. Great shower. Shout out to Alexander and Ryan on reception for being extra helpful.

For $365 a night hotel I expected a lot more. Hotel was old, worn and a bit dingy. There is no pool, no exercise room, no ice and no microwave. We stayed in a premier room that, I assume was supposed to be bigger and nicer. It had a small sitting area but only one chair. There is a mini-fridge and a Nespresso maker. The window is small and high off the ground so you don't really have a view of anything. The bed was comfortable but small, a full size I estimate. Pretty tight for 2 people. The staff was friendly but there aren't any real services that they provide outside of checking you in. There is a restaurant on site with a breakfast buffet and a dinner menu. It seems Brits, or at least those in this hotel, don't drink regular brewed coffee. They have Americanos, hot water with espresso, but no actual coffee. There is a Starbucks across the street though. Best thing about this hotel is location. Ideally situated right next to London Eye and the Southbank / Queens Walk and right across the Thames River from Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. Not so "premier" to me and my wife.
