Goodstay Apartments by Urban Space

Location and customer service was great. Also the apartment was very nice and clean. The only inconvenient was the bed. The mattress was bowed and very uncomfortable to sleep on and the bed was very noisy every time you move. Overall our stay could have been a 5 stars but the bed lower our rating big time.

Four of us shared a 2 bed apt in Barry. The cleanliness was excellent and these staff have to be complimented on such high standards. There was an abundance of towels and kitchen utensils. We stayed in No 2, the bed in the first bedroom does require a new mattress as springs had gone so a bit uncomfortable and made a noise when turning over, which could be done very quickly. There was some late noise from the unit below us (not sure if it’s the craft room) but furniture was being dragged and some hammering) going on, which at 2200 hours was a bit annoying. Location was great and car parking was useful. Would we stay there again, then yes.

We booked two lodges and an apartment for our stay. While the location was great the accommodation itself didn’t live up to expectations. The apartment felt in better condition, but the lodges were tired and in need of some TLC. The mattress in our room was particularly bad—springs digging in and visible dips on both sides made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. After returning home, I looked through reviews and found this exact issue has been raised by other guests multiple times over the past year, which makes it all the more frustrating that nothing seems to have been done. On top of that, our lodge didn’t have a hairdryer. Across the three bookings, there was only one between us, far from ideal. I did raise this feedback with the management after our stay, but unfortunately, I never received a follow-up after their initial acknowledgment, which doesn’t give me much confidence that anything will be improved. We nearly booked a Premier Inn and honestly, I wish we had. It would have been far better value, and at least the basics would have been right. Wouldn’t return.

We loved this quirky 🤪 accommodation which is made up of converted railway goods carriages (still standing on the rails.!) Our apartment had comfy bed in bedroom with ample storage, shower room with w/c and kitchen area with tv, table and seating..
