What visitors say
We use the site regularly and have to wonder are they going to invest any of their massive profit anytime soon!!?? We love the site but the shower and toilet blocks should be closed and demolished on health grounds! Reception staff are friendly and they keep the grass cut nicely but thats as far as it gets. 2 vending machines are empty, water points are shabby and dirty but there is electricity. We won't be returning until they stop the greed and invest in the infrastructure!

A great location next to the river and within walking distance to a lovely pub and the bus stop to the city centre. The out of hours check in was seamless and our pitch in the "carousel" provided good shade. I was fearing the worst when I read the reviews about the toilet blocks, whilst they may be a bit tired and need a refresh, they were perfectly functional. We would certainly return.

This is in a fantastic location, only a short bus ride or a 20 minute walk into Bath. 10 minute walk to 2 pubs, one by the river (the Boat) and one on the canal side (the Locksbrook Inn) both do food and have outside seating. The camp site facilities are very basic and desperately needs modernising, considering the owners own 33 modern marinas across the country.

Used the Campsite 10/04/2026. Roads approaching the site were tight (parking on the roads) and hilly with a sharp corner. Staff when required were great and their local knowledge excellent. Pitches ranged from full sun to shaded (shaded area pitches where short but my Fiat Ducatto van fitted OK.) The Sunny pitches had have more space Electricity and water in the shaded area close and worked fine. Site directly next to the canal and Pubs within 5 mins or 10 mins. Bus to Bath center 6 mins away and cheap . Toilets closest to the shaded area were converted Portaloo cabins, they were OK and initially clean first thing in the morning but as the day wore on they became "USED" but not disgusting as per previous reviews, If people used them in a dirty way then its their own fault and not the sites. Showers and sinks were hot, (possibly in the heatwave a tad too hot), Toilet roll provided. Very quiet at night and safe. Wasing area adjacent for pots and toilet disposable area. All in all was a good site and would recommend it !
