About Apex City of Bath Hotel

James Street West sits within easy walking distance of Bath's honey-stone centre, and Apex City of Bath Hotel makes good use of that position, putting the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Thermae Bath Spa all within reach on foot. It's a modern, city-centre base rather than a countryside retreat, well suited to those who want to explore Bath without relying on a car.

Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with comfortable beds, air conditioning and large bathrooms that typically include both a bath and a shower, along with complimentary in-room amenities. Family and accessible rooms are available, and facilities extend to a restaurant, bar, gym, and room service for those who'd rather not venture out in the evening.

The indoor pool, sauna and steam room are a particular strength, offering a proper way to unwind after a day of sightseeing, and breakfast draws consistent praise for its range and quality. Staff are noted for being helpful and professional throughout a stay. Beyond the hotel, the surrounding streets offer walking and cycling routes, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy reach.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay at Apex City of Bath Hotel. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and in a perfect location for exploring the beautiful city of Bath. The rooms were spacious, the facilities were excellent, and all of the staff were welcoming and professional. A special thank you goes to Hannah from the housekeeping team. Hannah was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly friendly, polite, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear she takes great pride in her work, and she’s a real credit to the hotel. Last minute stay for just one night, thanks to family for sorting it! Excellent all round experience. Welcome at reception was polite and professional but also friendly and welcoming. Room was immaculate with all you need, great bath and shower. Incredible how calm and relaxing the room and the hotel is, no noise and fantastic aircon. The best sleep in weeks ( currently in a heatwave!) Dinner in the restaurant was excellent value, peaceful and with the lovely Felix on hand to cater for our needs, wonderful chap who clearly knows his stuff. Made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was brilliant and great value, staff were amazing, chatty and friendly and informative about the options available. Quickly resolved an issue with the toaster with no fuss. All staff we met were professional but friendly and made us feel at ease. No time to use the leisure facilities due to early appointment but we plan to visit again and stay a little longer. We live locally but have stayed occasionally overnight in the city and this has to be our ‘ go to’ hotel for next time. Already recommended to friends who like to have short breaks in Bath Thank you to all your team.

Had a lovely stay at the hotel. Very convenient location in the city centre - walking distance from most places. Lots of bars and restaurants closeby. The staff were really friendly, especially Felix at the bar. The hotel had a lovely bar area with outdore seating - this was great to sit there on sunny day. The rooms were lovely (got a free upgrade), bed and pillows were heavenly. Brekkie was fantastic - great cappucinos and lots of food item options, very much worth your while. They also had lovely pool, sauna, steam facilities.

We stayed at your hotel 3 nights and you provided us with unforgettable experience. Location very convenient - close to landmarks of beautiful city of Bath. Value for the price - amazing. The pool with waterfall, sauna and the idea to have bucket with chilly water splashing - all those details provided relaxation after all day sightseeing. All this would not be complete without exceptional service provided from all the staff. HEATHER who allowed us to check in early - it was very welcoming after early train trip from London. Manager - BOZYDAR always asking whether there is anything we might need. NICK - bartender who catered to us while we were waiting in the lobby before heading to the station. Waitress during breakfast ( Polish lady - forgot her name ) perfect service. Manager of breakfast room as well. Details like " Rubber Duck " on the pillow - sweet !!! BTW - I asked to give one more as a gift to my friend - second duck was provided. Reception staff asking us whether we might need any supplies, like towels, coffee, tea, fresh milk - even crackers. There was problem with window curtain not closing entirely - maintenance person ( very friendly and competent gentleman ) came to our room immediately and repaired the curtain in the blink of an eye. Highly recommended while staying in Bath. Please relay to your staff and thank you - David L. and Margaret from US, Baltimore, MD
