About Premier Inn Bath City Centre

Premier Inn Bath City Centre is a five-storey, 108-room hotel built along straightforward, modern lines rather than period grandeur, giving it a practical, city-centre feel just off James Street West. That contemporary layout means lifts to every floor, air conditioning throughout, and a scale that suits both leisure breaks and business trips.

Rooms are en-suite with drinks-making facilities, and are generally well-sized and quiet, though a few have shown signs of wear that housekeeping hasn't always kept on top of. Breakfast is served in the on-site restaurant and is a generous, filling start to the day. Accessible rooms are available, along with 24-hour reception and an electric vehicle charge point, while parking itself is offsite and chargeable, at Southgate Shopping Centre car park around six minutes' walk away.

The location is the hotel's strongest card, with the Roman Baths, shops and Bath's wider attractions all within easy reach on foot. Pubs, bars and restaurants surround the hotel, and staff are consistently helpful with local tips. It's a solid, well-placed base for exploring the city rather than a destination in itself.

Rooms are in desperate need of need of decorating . The rooms look dirty . Stains everywhere limescale all around the taps .Does not usually bother me to much BUT this is not a cheap hotel . This cost £149 a night . I know it’s a premier inn but I have stayed in them b4 and this is the worst . Not stayed in one for quite a while but you now have to request your room to be cleaned the next day by 12noon fair enough the room does not have to be cleaned everyday . But we had to ask for new towels which by the way definitely need replacing they smelled clean but had stains . Tbe last day we did ask for the room to be cleaned and they only left 1 set of towels no way to contact reception so off you go having to walk back to reception and ask for more towels . As I said the towels or terrible so need to be changed daily . The room over looked a small carpark with pigeon crap everywhere and we knew there was not a view to be fair but clean the windows clear the bird shit . This hotel needs a complete overhaul. The lady at reception was pleasant enough no issues with that . Deffo better hotels for £150 a night

Great central location for exploring Bath. Staff super friendly and helpful, Breakfast well worth it. We were 2 adults and 2 teens in a standard room, plenty of space and didnt feel cramped. Room was not quite as clean as we'd have liked - food wrappers found under bed, couple of pillow cases marked, dirty cup and bathroom smelt - possibly due to dust clogged extractor... nothing major or unfixable though.

The room wasn’t cleaned, our stuff got dusty if they touched the floor, and there were garbage under the bed. Asked for it to be cleaned, but there was still garbage afterwards. Makes you wonder what else they didn’t clean? The hotel was old and a bit worn down. Small room. Location was good, and it was quiet. Nice breakfast.

This hotel is an affordable comfy stay in the middle of Bath. You can't fault the location as it is blended into the city life but you don't get noise from outside at all. My partner and I found the bed so comfortable and we had a great sleep, and there's a little TV. The bathroom is alright although the towels were a little too scratchy, felt quite old. What really shocked me was how terrible the breakfast was; although I believe it is a 'restaurant' separate from Premier Inn. I could barely eat much of it but still felt ill afterwards, as did my partner, and I even went down to ask for a refund - to which the manager was very accommodating and can't fault her service. The menu says all kinds of vegetarian food available, however when i went down a woman barked at me guessing I wanted a veggie sausage, what came out 10 minutes later was 2 sausages still in the old metal oven tray, clearly Linda MCartneys frozen sausages - what a joke. I would stay in the room again!
