About Travelodge Beckington

Longleat, Bath and the wider Somerset and Wiltshire countryside are all within easy driving distance of Travelodge Beckington, thanks to its position on the A36 Trowbridge Road just outside Frome. It suits anyone touring the region by car, with free on-site parking at the front of the hotel and an electric vehicle charge point for those who need it.

The hotel has 40 rooms with en-suite bathrooms, including accessible options, spread across two floors. Rooms come with drinks-making facilities, and breakfast is available to set guests up for a day out. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the beds and general cleanliness get good marks too, though the Wi-Fi can be patchy and mobile signal in the area is unreliable, so it is worth planning ahead if you need to stay connected.

A pub, restaurant and Starbucks are all nearby for food and drink, and there's a golf course close by for those wanting to fit in a round. Pets are welcome, and with 24 hour reception there's flexibility for early starts or late arrivals when exploring Bath, Longleat and beyond.

The hotel is clean and tidy. However, rooms do not have air conditioning, and you cannot get an evening meal here. Also, breakfast is in a small box. Ideal if you want a clean, comfy bed for the night. However, the nearby village of Beckington has a couple of excellent pubs, including The Woolpack, where you can get tasty food and drinks all day.

A great location and lovely room. A short distance away from the pretty village of Beckington, where the options to eat are outstanding. On this occasion the Woolpack Inn was a great shout. The only negative was the ceilings are quite thin and on this occasion, a hefalump was staying there, deciding to March around making as much noise as possible with their feet and with no consideration for others. For this reason I couldn't leave a 5 star, but would recommend a stay here.

Travelodge was recommend for affordable accommodation while travelling around the UK. Unfortunately, the Beckington venue is one that I'd pay extra to avoid: - Nowhere near anything interesting, so you have to drive to anywhere is you want to eat. - Shower water temperature and pressure was dismal. - Mobile data reception was virtually non-existent, despite paying for an eSim. - No bar fridge meant that we couldn't even bring any food that needed refrigeration (yoghurt went bad). There are plenty of places to stay near Bath that would be better.

Stayed last night and for a 2 star hotel it was very pleasant, staff were lovely and friendly and room was clean. My only complaint was paying for the WiFi and the connection was terrible and not being able to dead lock the door from inside, as a woman staying alone it’s just gives you that added level of security.
