I've walked past here on a Sunday morning walk along the Thames many times, and always said I'd pop in one day, well today was that 'one day'! I didn't have a reservation but the staff were very welcoming of a walk in and offered me choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The restaurant has a lovely terrace with a good mix of shade and sun so I opted for a shady outdoor table. Service was friendly and prompt. There was a set menu of 2 courses for £20 or 3 courses for £24, and although that's something I'd usually go for, today I had my heart set on something different. I started with oysters (£3.40 each, minimum order of three) and a glass of French sparkling wine. The oysters were lovely and fresh, served with a red wine vinegar & shallot sauce. I followed this with a portion of moules marinere, but with bread instead of the traditional fries to mop up the delicious sauce, accompanied by a glass of house white from Gazette's own vineyard. I finished up with a coffee and a dessert called "t-briezh" which in my head was going to be a plate of fresh cheese with caramel pears... turns out it's an epic sundae, totally delicious and big enough for two to share! Three courses, two glasses of wine and coffee came to £55 inc 12.5% service charge, which I thought was excellent value. I'll definitely visit Gazette Battersea again.

We had a lovely experience at Gazette Battersea. It’s a French restaurant with a varied menu, a pleasant atmosphere, and very friendly service. Our waiter was especially kind and attentive, and the service was prompt throughout. We also watched the first half of the Norway vs England World Cup match there, which made the evening feel even more relaxed and enjoyable. The Niçoise salad was very good and filling. I’d happily come back — next time I’d love to try the tomato tart. Highly recommend!

Another amazing experience at Gazette last night. We had the French onion soup, the Chateaubriand cooked medium (absolutely perfect), and the legendary Haaaaaammmmm for dessert — everything was outstanding, as always. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional. I’ve visited this restaurant several times now, and the manager already recognizes me, which makes it feel like my VIP place. That personal touch really means a lot. Consistently great food, great service, and a place I’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful impromptu meal at Gazette. We used to go to the one in Battersea but saw this one opposite the bus stop on our way to Clapham and it was even better. Ordered Quail for me and Bavette steak and chips for my daughter. The food was delicious, a real treat and good value as I ordered from the set menu, two courses for £20. It was also quiet and sunny, a perfect Easter treat. The service was so welcoming, I will definitely be back!
