About Holiday Inn Express Belfast City
Holiday Inn Express Belfast City suits travellers who want a straightforward, well-run base rather than a destination in itself - business visitors, university-area guests, and anyone touring the city who values free on-site parking over fuss. The 171 rooms are modern and comfortable, each with an en-suite bathroom, and the hotel offers accessible rooms alongside the standard options.
Breakfast is a genuine highlight, with a generous buffet offering plenty of choice, and there's a restaurant and bar on site for other meals and drinks. Practical extras include free WiFi throughout, a lift, laundry service, and business facilities with meeting rooms, making it as workable for a conference trip as for a weekend away. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though service standards can vary depending on when you visit.
The University Street address puts guests within reach of nearby pubs, restaurants and other eateries, plus entertainment options and a golf course for those with time to spare. It's a solid, no-nonsense choice for getting around Belfast without paying for parking or extras you won't use.
What guests say
Stayed in Belfast for one night and hotel was sufficient for our needs. A 20 minute walk from Grand Central or to the City Hall (or a short bus ride). Unfortunately for me there were two issues, the first was surprising, the room had no a.c and was offered just a desk fan... we have just experienced a heatwave! However, the room was clean, shower good. Good selection at breakfast. Staff were very helpful and we were able to store our luggage on early arrival and check-out. The other issue is the location, there appears to be lots of drug users lying around Dudly street (opposite) and loitering around this area, whilst they did not say anything, I did feel a little intimidated when passing a group of them actually lying on the street, one with blood on his t-shirt. I'm not saying this to put you off staying here, more for awareness. As a result my friend and I avoided the side roads and walked along the main roads back to Central, which was fine and straight forward.

Great budget-friendly stay in Ireland! The hotel was good and featured nice interior design. The room and bathroom were clean, with a very comfy bed and all the basic necessities provided. The location is a bit tucked away, but still close to the city center. The breakfast buffet was also nice. I highly recommend booking this place!

Room size was incredible. Room to open suitcases and spread out. Staff was very kind. Was a little warm due to no AC but there was AC in the lobby. Not super close to the city center and walking felt a little sketchy. Uber wasnt too expensive.
