My favourite restaurant at all time. I am inspired every time when I visit. A go-to place for proper London Soul food. Always looking forward to their new menu. Service is always warm and attentive. Hard to get a table sometimes. I always go on my own after work. The only issue is the bar table is a bit too high closer to the front door if you are here for food.

Perhaps my favourite restaurant in London? For a date night, just a glass of delicious wine, a couple of nibbles this is my go-to place. I just love the place, the atmosphere is amazing, the people are the kindest and don’t get me started about the food, it’s just so good. The menu changes every week, it’s always full of surprises and they are plenty of vegetarian options. See you very soon 40 ❤️

The food is small plates style. I went with two friends and we each ordered a glass of wine and about six shared plates. It doesn’t sound like a lot but it was the perfect amount for us. It’s got a vibe and I like that it’s a bit off the beaten path. (Bermondsey Street is a short walk away.). You can have a conversation and hear each other. There are a few tables in front but come early to snag one. The menu is written on the chalkboard as is the wine list. They let me try both whites before I decided which one I wanted. The waitstaff is great. Nice, thoughtful, professional. We really enjoyed our meal. Thank you.

Had such a delicious light lunch at 40 Maltby. Service was great. We had a glass of the rose which was light a d crisp. We shared the smoked cod’s roe, crab quiche and asparagus all at the waiters recommendation. Faultless. Very rarely to you go somewhere and get free bread these days too. Thoroughly enjoyed and would come back.
