What diners say
A bit smaller than I thought it’d be but with some quality options for street food! We tried the Cuban and the duck stands and they were both delicious! We also headed into a bar for a beer and some live music which was so nice! I definitely recommend checking out if you’re in the area or exploring the south bank area.

A 10 minute walk from London Bridge Station. Where you can visits the bars/cafes along Bermonsey Street on the way. Maltby Street Market offers a great variety of Street food and bars allow you to take the food in, which was great. Has a great feel to the place and everyone we spoke to were very friendly and welcoming. The craft brewery was a highlight. And if you like that, continue to the end and turn left where there are several more craft / micro breweries which are also worth a visit

Maltby Street Market is a vibrant slice of London’s food scene, tucked away under the railway arches in Bermondsey. The market buzzes with energy, offering an eclectic mix of artisanal stalls, from freshly baked sourdough and gourmet cheeses to mouthwatering street food from around the world. The atmosphere feels both lively and intimate, with narrow pathways, rustic seating, and the aroma of coffee and spices filling the air. It’s perfect for food lovers who enjoy exploring small-batch, high-quality produce while chatting with passionate vendors. On weekends it can get busy, but the hustle only adds to its charm, making every visit a delightful culinary adventure.

The little market that packs a punch food wise. Its only small but is so cute and would be wonderful on a summery day. It doesnt open till 11am which I thought was a little late. Loved the little bar areas where you can take your food into and have a drink. Tried lots of the food all absolutely delish. If you want a change from the heaving Borough Market give this relaxed market a go.
