Guiga Paixão Argollo

It was good overall. But I was expecting more because it is the same chef as da terra. The brazilian bites (pastel, bolinho de peixe, and pao de queijo slider) were the lows for me. I think it could be way more interesting with a twist or something. I felt like I was paying 4 pounds in 1 item while in brazil you get 10 paying less than that with the same quality. Same goes to the pizza pastel.😅 I really enjoyed the pork chop and cassava chips, so good. It was a good experience but I was expecting more for the price we paid.

Just happened to stumble upon this on Google maps on a Saturday evening, not having had (up to this point) good Brazilian food in London. The restaurant is in a hotel, which made me a bit sceptical at first. But by the end of the dinner we weren't disappointed. The place is small. Service was very friendly and welcoming. There were surprisingly few people there for a Saturday, which was even more surprising considering how good it was. We ordered two of each of the Bolinhos de Bacalhau, Pastel de Pizza, Pão de Queijo sliders, and lamb skewers. We also ordered their special rice and seafood dish as a main. The Bolinhos were nice and crisp, and the sliders were a fun take on Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). The lamb was so tender and flavorful. The star of the show was the rice and seafood. The seafood and the rice were cooked to perfection. The amount of flavor in that rice was amazing. All the while service was very attentive. The food came fast, but as a good pace -- they waited until we were done with one dish before getting the other. I would definitely go there again, especially since it seems that they have different specials.

This place was a little different. Not a lot of selections on the menu and the larger dishes are specials. The lamb skewer special was amazing. The cheese bread slider was pretty good as well. The bread baskets was good and my colleagues enjoyed their drinks. I almost gave it a 4 cause some of the dishes weren't as good, but the lamb was so good I had to round up to a five for this one.

Had exceptional food looked after by Richard who guided us amazingly through the menu. Food was fantastic especially the pao de quejo slider, the croquettes and the trout. Was a bit quiet but it is mid January. Music was great but was fairly quiet which is understandable this time of year. Would recommend to anyone who wants to try Brazilian cuisine !
