Trem Yr Ynys

Betws-y-Coed sits at the heart of Snowdonia, surrounded by forest, mountains and walking routes that pull in visitors year-round. Trem Yr Ynys is a substantial four-storey property right in the village, sleeping eight across four bedrooms—including one with a four-poster bed—and two bathrooms. A lawned garden with patio and river views drops down to the water's edge, though guests should be aware of steps down to the garden and the river itself at the boundary.

The ground floor holds a living room with TV and DVD player, a dining room and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, dishwasher, and everything needed to prepare meals. A shower room is also down here. The first floor has two further bedrooms—a double and two singles in separate rooms—and a separate toilet. Upstairs, the four-poster bedroom and another twin bedroom are served by a bathroom with a bath and shower. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard; one dog stays free. Parking for three cars is on site, and there's a barbecue in the garden.

The village itself is walkable—a pub and shops are a couple of minutes on foot—and it works as a base for Snowdon, Conwy Castle, Bodnant Gardens or simply exploring the network of mountain paths and cycle tracks that lace the forest around it. No smoking inside.
