About ibis budget Birmingham Centre

Great Colmore Street sits within easy reach of Birmingham's city centre, a spot that puts ibis budget Birmingham Centre close to bars, restaurants and entertainment venues including the O2 Academy, with the wider pull of the city's attractions just a short journey beyond. Chargeable on-site parking is a genuine plus for anyone driving in, sparing the usual hunt for a space in the centre.

The hotel has 250 rooms spread across five floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and air conditioning, and there are accessible rooms and a lift for ease of movement. Rooms are kept clean, though some are on the small side and can feel a little tired around the edges, so this suits guests after a straightforward, no-fuss base rather than extra space or polish. Breakfast is available on site, and staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful.

Pets are welcome, and luggage storage is handy for early arrivals or late departures. With pubs, restaurants and eateries all nearby, plus its central position, the hotel works well as an affordable stopover for exploring Birmingham or catching a gig at the O2 Academy.

Got at the hotel around 12pm got told we had to wait till 3pm fair enough they don’t have a waiting room they tell you to go to the mailbox which is a 10-15 minute walk when we got into our room I have a 16 year old child that’s supposed to sleep on a bunk bed? We had to take the mattress off and put it on the floor as my teen was too scared to climb to the bed. The room is so cramped and small the bathroom is so small enjoy the cramped space! No kettle in the room or tea bags thought that was a bit off no extra pillows in the room The AC didn’t seem to accept any other temperature than 19 degrees. No TV remote for the TV. Thank god it’s only one night we stayed if you are going on your own I think this is perfect but no never want to come here again honestly a prison night for 3

As soon as I walked in was warmly welcomed by the reception staff, especially a lady who's name I believe started with D with a European accent, apologies can't remember it, but she was fantastically polite and helpful. The room is perfectly suited for cheap stays where you purely need a bed and a shower and arent dependant on hours of amusement in the room itself, it isn't a Luxury suite but it absolutely serves its purpose as a base point to sleep and freshen up. Told the staff not to worry about room service as was only there 3 nights and was barely in the room but they still attended and made the bed which was nice. Hot water, microwave, coffee machine, vending machine, pool table downstairs, lots of shops within 10 mins walk, if I'm in the area again would definitely stay again, quality to price ratio is ideal.

Great and renovated hotel just few minutes to the train station. The staff is really friendly and the room was new. The check-in was fast and the gentleman from the desk extrem helpful. Thanks for that. Perfect stay for a city trip.

Stayed here for one night and was pleasantly surprised having stayed at an Ibis budget before (which was not a good experience). The reception staff were very friendly and happy which is always a nice bonus when you check in. The reception area looked like there was a lot of construction work or repairs going on but the rest of the hotel I saw was a decent standard. The room was a good size and very clean, the bed was comfortable, good sized TV, good lighting, working modern air-con unit. The bathroom was pretty small but useable. Being tall I found it difficult to sit on the toilet because of how close it was to the wall leaving barely any leg room. Good location close enough to walk to and from the train station.
