About Malmaison Birmingham

Malmaison Birmingham sits inside the Mailbox, the canal-side shopping and dining development a few minutes' walk from New Street station. The hotel's signature dark, dramatic interiors and deep colour palettes are a deliberate contrast to the glass and steel of the surrounding development.

Rooms range from compact standards to larger suites overlooking the canal, and the on-site brasserie and gym cover most needs without leaving the building. The Mailbox itself adds restaurants, designer shops and a cinema on the doorstep.

It works well for both business travellers needing to be near the station and leisure guests who want a stylish base within walking distance of Brindleyplace and the Bullring.

We had an excellent stay here. The team were very accommodating and the room was spacious and very clean. We asked for a cot for our newborn in advance and the room was kitted out with cot, changing mat, nappy bin and extra bin bags. Room service was quick and fantastic. Only negative was that there were no plug sockets by the bed, only old USB style sockets. Worth noting if you need to travel with CPAP or other bedside equipment.

Used the work+play business facility for a meeting, and the room and facilities were brilliant. We also had the lunch they supplied which included a lively plant based option for me, whci wasn't just a a falafel wrap! Recommended, and we will be using again.

I had a wonderful stay at Malmaison Birmingham. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, always going out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Special mention to gentlemen in the restaurant- he was very polite and professional. The hotel itself is stylish, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of the highlights of my stay was the restaurant—the food was absolutely delicious, with a great selection and excellent wines. Every meal felt like a treat. Overall, a fantastic experience with top-notch service, great food, and a lovely environment.

Easy to find, car park in the same building (book parking online as you get a 20% discount). Swift, efficient and friendly check in, We had an upgraded room, it was huge, immaculately clean and had all the thoughtful touches you'd expect of a Malmaison. The bar didn't disappoint either, guys working were friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help (especially when discussing other local places to visit that evening, we got some great recommendations). Atmosphere even late afternoon had a buzz, great to see a bar full of people enjoying the ambience, environment and excellent customer service. Keep up the great work Team Malmaison, we will be back and will definitely recommend.
