I visited with some friends on a weekday afternoon, and we were lucky it was very quiet. Upon arrival, you are required to read through and sign a set of house rules to ensure the cats' safety. There is also an entrance fee, but it directly funds the care and upkeep of the cats, which is a cause I'm more than happy to support. The café currently has 16 cats, and they have plenty of areas to play and relax. All of them were friendly, calm, and well-behaved. Several of them actually came over to join us at our table, and getting to feed them treats was a highlight of the visit! As for food, the menu offers a wide variety of choices, and our orders arrived nice and warm. The only minor downside I noticed was table cleanliness. While cleared quickly, tables weren't always wiped down immediately after guests left. Given that the cats frequently walk across the coffee tables, a quick sanitising wipe between visitors would have been reassuring. Overall, it was a positive experience!

Really lovely staff, not oo crazy busy, if you sit and relax the cats and kittens roam super close to you. Some peoples kids were hunting the cats down - the cats were crazy patient with them. Food and drinks lovely. Deffo gonna get in early when going Brum so I can have a cuppa and cats before the rest of my day. Place is amazingly designed cats have tonnes of shelves and walkways to be able to be in control of thier interactions

Alright, paid £18 just to enter(2 people) but it’s for the cats, would be nice to have that advertised while booking. Only ordered a chocolate milkshake, and it was certainly just chocolate milk. Cats look well taken care of and interior is nice, however some areas feel more secluded, bathrooms have quite a strong smell to them, but there’s other bathrooms opposite the shop so it’s not a major issue.

After having some time to think over our experience, I have to say I was unimpressed sadly. Once we eventually found the cafe, we were met by a lady who greeted us and asked us to read the rules. I had spotted through the window that there were a couple of workmen with a ladder and hoped they wouldn’t impact the visit as it was a surprise for my 4 year old. We were quickly shown to a table and provided menus. The venue is genuinely lovely, with lots of routes for the cats to take if they want to avoid the floor, lots of little nooks for them to hide in and a special corridor for them to get out, though it does require a person to open the door so they can access it. I ordered a coffee and my son had a brookie. The prices were fairly reasonable considering where we were. However, once our order was taken, it didn’t seem like the staff were interested in visiting our table again to take any additional orders. It may have been that they were busy but they completed avoided eye contact with us. The biggest thing, however, were the workmen. It looked like they were there to fix the twinkle lights on the ceiling (not exactly a business essential) but it meant there were lots of drilling, ladders being moved about, and at one point, guests being moved. Whilst my son wasn’t a fan of the sudden noises, the cats seemed considerably less impressed and would jump or run off when the drilling started. I’ve since checked their Facebook and there was nothing to say that there would be work taking place. Had I’d known this ahead of the visit, I would have rescheduled our reservation. I would have thought it more reasonable to do the work outside of opening hours or just open a bit later to save distress to the cats and impact comfort for the guests. I have visited other cat cafes and would choose to visit those again over Kitty Cafe.
