About Travelodge Birmingham Sheldon
A cooked or continental breakfast and an on-site restaurant give Travelodge Birmingham Sheldon a straightforward start to the day, with a Toby Carvery also nearby for anyone after a bigger meal. Drinks can be brought to the room, and reception is staffed around the clock if you're arriving late off a flight.
The hotel has 84 rooms across three floors, all en-suite, with accessible rooms available. Beds are a consistent strong point, though some rooms show their wear and can pick up noise from neighbouring rooms or the road outside. Free on-site parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis after registering at reception, and there's an electric vehicle charge point too. Pets are welcome.
Set just off the A45, the hotel is well placed for Birmingham Airport and the NEC, making it a practical base for early flights, exhibitions or events. It also gives easy access to routes across the West Midlands, whether you're passing through or staying to explore the city. Rooms range from GBP 35 to 150 depending on dates.

Honestly one of the worst travelodges i have stayed in, Any rooms upstairs are hard to get too and out of the way don’t book this hotel if you have limited mobility. Unfortunately the hotel was ‘Fully Booked’ the weekend i went and asked if we could switch rooms, It was not fully booked as I could buy a whole new room for the length of my stay. The room i was assigned absolutely stank in the bathroom of pee which made the whole room unusable, the reception team did their best and changed the shower curtain and doused the bathroom in room spray but unfortunately made no difference and upset my partners Asthma so we ended up only staying one night out of four. Thankfully I ended up getting a refund due to the issues we had, the staff was lovely but the rooms are awful.

Absolutely dreadful. Booked the place a month prior to arrival, explaining one of us had mobility issues. On arrival, very difficult to find reception. When checking-in given a 1st floor room as far away from reception and the car park as possible, eventually managed to get that changed to a ground floor room near reception. Walking between reception and car park several times to unload the one thing I noted more than anything else was the ever present smell of cannabis and indeed at least one person blatantly preparing their next fix. When booking we asked for a room with electric socket by bed for medical appliance needed overnight, apparently none of the rooms have that facility and the hotel had no extension lead so was told to buy my own at nearby shop. Bed and pillows so uncomfortable that I hardly slept and had very painful shoulder and neck as a result. Should have stayed 3 nights, but found it so bad we couldn't stay beyond first night, so left having found another room elsewhere. Prior to check out reception staff advised they had accessible rooms with everything we wanted and couldn't understand why we hadn't been given one of those. They said that because we'd used a 3rd party online service to book that it was down to them to decide if we'd get a refund for unused period. Definitely wouldn't stay again and have only given 1 star because of the staff trying to help as we checked out and the fact I had to leave at least one star.

Far from great. Location is good for NEC, nice restaurants and amenities nearby, and parking is secure. However the room smelled like wet dog, walls are so thin I could hear next doors phone call, and you only get 30 mins of WiFi. Breakfast is also a rip off - we assumed it was at the pub next door but it was actually a box of bits that cost almost as much. Very sullen staff member on arrival too (though a colleague said other staff were more pleasant)

When I checked in today and Isha checked me in. Her customer service skills are excellent. She directed me to my room and helped provide a fan as the weather was extremely hot 🔥. She also provided a summer sheet to replace the warm duvet. I'm extremely pleased and satisfied.
