A very informative and interesting cycle/walking route, which has a scale model of the solar system with all its planets, stretched out over 10 km. It teaches you the true scale of the solar system, and thus space in general. For example, walking at an average speed of 4 Km per hours it takes about 2.5 hours to get to Pluto. Getting to the real Pluto in that time, you would have to be travelling at 630,000 Km every second, that's about 16 times around the Earth every second! Each planet is represented by a scale model. Eg the size of the Earth is like a marble, while the Sun is over 2 metre wide. The downsides are that it's a bit too long to walk both there and back, could be hard on the feet; the models of the planets could do with a bit of TLC, ie. a bit of a clean and a lick of paint; and I do wish some cyclists wouldn't treat the route as a racing track when they are sharing it with pedestrians.
