Fantastic location - riverbus to York was very good. Quiet at night. The best campsite toilet and shower block we have had. Level hard standing pitches. Nice play area with climbing, slide and swings. Walking distance to a local co-op, bakery, cafe and 4 pubs. Could do with a few more sinks in the washing area.

What can I say what a gem of a site great location easy bus every 30 mins to York centre. Lovely restaurant and great food on site, lovely walks by the river. Toilets and showers immaculate. Well worth a visit shall definitely be returning.

Just spent 3 nights in our campervan, what a wonderful site, impeccably clean and tidy. An excellent little cafe serving coffees, breakfast sandwiches and other refreshments. The 5 star facilities were awesome I have never had such a good shower whilst on a campsite. It’s located on the river front, with a lovely river walk into York. There is a village 5 min walk away with an excellent pub serving very good food with a nice friendly welcome. We will definitely be back and hopefully be able to experience the Bosun restaurant as unfortunately it’s not open until Thursdays! Loved loved loved the place.

Stayed here for 3 nights in our motorhome in April (Easter holidays) & had a wonderful time. Pitch was brilliant (No 10) with direct views of the river & wonderfully quiet. Water on pitch which was a bonus for us. Toilet/shower block was fabulous, with lovely warm showers & never had to wait. Restaurant wasn’t open during our stay but looked lovely. Food being served at the snack bar smelt amazing. Pods are a lovely addition. Regular bus service into York centre just 5 mins walk from the site & running into the evening. Will definitely be visiting again 😊
