Fantastic location - riverbus to York was very good. Quiet at night. The best campsite toilet and shower block we have had. Level hard standing pitches. Nice play area with climbing, slide and swings. Walking distance to a local co-op, bakery, cafe and 4 pubs. Could do with a few more sinks in the washing area.

Stayed at the Riverfront York for 4 nights in July, it was excellent. The site is beautiful, small and has excellent facilities. We were on pitch 10 which was lovely and had river views. We sampled a bacon/sausage sandwich from the cafe on our last morning and it was fabulous. We walked 3 miles into York and got a bus back which was easy and also did a lovely walk in the other direction along the river to the Ship Inn at Acaster. Highly recommend this pub, the food was divine. Bishopthorpe is a great village with 4 pubs and a 5 minute walk from the site. all in all an excellent holiday. Thank you

Second time staying here . Only a small site .Very clean site, toilets very clean probable one of the best I’ve seen. Food onsite is very good from the little cafe, site is next to the river and you can book a boat into York centre. Taxi to York cathedral from the site is about £12 but a bus service is also available .There are a couple of pubs 10 to 15 minutes walk. And a small coop about the same. Over all an exhalant site well worth a visit.

Just got back from our second visit to this site all good apart from late night noise which it states on your booking confirmation quiet between 8pm and 8 am. There were 3 motorhomes behind us who partied till about 10.15 one night then another night same again across the way from us 3 groups noisy till 10.00. Another night a group of local youths were sat on one of the picnic tables drinking and being rowdy and swearing etc then kicked a football which landed on a neighbours roof. There isn’t anyone on site to manage any issues. Apart from that it is a lovely well kept site with 5 star facilities and the Bosun’s restaurant is a gem
