About The Marinne Hotel

Reads Avenue sits within easy reach of Blackpool's seafront and the town's main attractions, and it's here that The Marinne Hotel offers a straightforward base for a seaside break. This is a simple, unpretentious guest house rather than a polished hotel, and it suits travellers who want somewhere functional and central without paying for extras.

Rooms are en-suite, with family rooms available and drinks provided in-room, plus free WiFi throughout. A full English breakfast is included to set guests up for the day, and practical touches like 24-hour reception, luggage storage and free on-site parking (including an electric vehicle charge point) make arrivals and departures easy.

Beyond the front door, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes, along with watersports, entertainment venues, pubs, bars and restaurants within easy distance. It's a fair option for those who want an affordable, central spot in Blackpool and don't need luxury to enjoy the coast.

Great value for money! The staff at The Marinne Hotel were absolutely amazing! Really friendly and helpful when asking for directions, etc. Was lovely to meet them. If we needed anything extra, they were always happy to help. The location is great and everything is a short walk away. Room was a bit compact but there were 4 adults in 1 room so it was expected! The beds were nice and comfy as well. The free toast provided was also a nice touch. The only thing I would say could be worked on is the cleanliness of the bathroom/toilet areas. It wasn't dirty by any means but maybe putting in some bottles of bleach/anti-bac spray, air freshener, etc would be helpful!

Room was lovely and the bed was so comfy, I didn’t wanna get out of it! Definitely would stay here again. It’s also really close to town and very easy to find. The service from the owners was lovely too. They are so nice and lovely and made sure we was happy with our room and we even got to meet their doggos!! Definitely a bonus. We will definitely be back.

I don't even know where to begin in reviewing this place, so I will summarise as best as I can: it's a steaming cesspit! I would give it a zero if it had been possible. Now I appreciate that it's cheap at £26 a night, however I expect some level of cleanliness. There was none. The shower was full of mould, and my partner had to wipe the toilet when we entered the room. There was nowhere to put tooth brushes, hang towels, even the toilet roll was stuck on the side of the sink. The room itself was full of dust, and the bed. My. God. The pillows were orange and didn't have protectors on them. Two of the four appeared to be falling apart. The mattress was also without a protector and orange (gag). I would have accepted that the mattress was lumpy had it been clean, however it was an abomination. The carpet was disgraceful, and there was a strange smell about the place. We laid on top of the bed on the towels, but my partner snapped at 2am, saying we were going home after observing my cough becoming worse (I felt like I was choking with the air quality) and he was convinced he had been bitten. He didn't have to ask me twice, we got up and got out of there. Within 20 minutes of leaving my cough was much less aggressive, and we had a comfy nights sleep two and a half hours later in our own bed. My advice to anyone thinking of booking a stay in this place: DON'T.

Very welcoming, bed was comfy. There was a lot of noise through the early hours by other guests but we are hoping this was a one off as we are looking to stay again. Breakfast was included and it was very nice. It was bought to the table with self service to toast, tea and coffee. The room was clean and tidy, so was the shower/bathroom
